Very lovely, lovelee :)  Your hair and you are both gorgeous!

I really liked her, still upset she is moving lol.  Good and cheap, good find lovelee (she is the one who helped me find the stylist).  You have a few months to find another one lol.

I did want the pics to show up as an imagine Sherrie, I just kept getting the error.  It worked fine on your site, so they can just click that link I guess........

Girl I've been checking back like everyday for your pics! I love it. She added some synthetic hair to my braids too, I thought I wouldn't need it because my hair is thick... but my hair is very fine.

Here are some pics of mine.

There is a trick when using the cornrow method for silky slippery hair. About every 3" inches  add a small dental rubberband to the track. It causes traction without damaging the hair. I get my dentist to buy them for me in large 3 ounce bags. The best size to use is 5/16 diameter.

Ok, I finally got around to taking some pics.  I put a lens flare over my face, not to hide my identity but to hide the no-makeup stupid look face :)

This is still the same hair I used in my last install, so it is at about 6-7 weeks.  I have been washing it often (every other day) and even dyed most of it.....and so far so good.  It is the Bohyme french refined hand tied in 22" (measures more like 25).  I used the blow dryer to straighten it, in the pics it could use a good flat-ironing but I can't find mine so it'll have to do.  I love the hair straight or hot rollers, but I'm not real into the french refined curl.  The curl does give the hair a nice texture though.

Ok, here they are at this link, for some reason when I try to link the image it gives me an error only members with permission may access this feature???  Oh well, it is the hair that is straight.......the other pics are my last install but the same hair:

http://s70.photobucket.com/albums/i99/longhairaddict/

The braids aren't too tight at all, she did braid some yaki texture synth in with it so my hair wouldn't get loose (my hair is super fine, silky, and I have a ton of it).  The first day my head was a little tender, but the next day it was fine.  I am ITCHING like crazy, although it seems to come and go.

I'm with ya, I just went back to my hairdresser after one long year, and it was heaven!

I wore braids back in the day, I know I mentioned it before that I got my whole head done for $25!!! Late 80's. That was cheap then too! She would braid my hair so tight I got headaches and cried when she did it. I have a couple of bald spots too that have not grown back in. My hair is very very silky slippery, flyaway and they lasted about six weeks. When the thread in the wefts of the hair got wet, the lovely aroma of rotten socks would overpower any room! Nasty!

That's gonna depend on how silky your own hair is, and how the stylist braids you own hair.. The silkier the hair the quicker the braids will slip.. A little textured syth braided in will help reduce the slip and help the braids last longer.. Maybe some of the ladies with silkier hair who've worn this method can chime in here..

I can't answer the how long it lasts question, because this is the first time I ever had it.  The sylist said up to 3 months, and my sister wore them before (same hair texture) and said her sew-ins lasted more than 3 months (which I know is not good and I will not do).

Mine were super cheap, I got 8 tracks.....which is alot and it was only $130.  I think the average is a little more, I just happened to find someone very good and cheap (thanks to a nice girl from here :) ).

Day 2 and I still love it, my scalp feels great and I have no headaches or anything.  I still haven't go any damn pictures, I promise soon before I get in trouble with Kalika lol :-D

Lol, I haven't managed to look decent today since I've been cleaning all day and doing laundry (yuck).  I think I'm gonna wash and style it in the morning so I'll do it then, if I posted pictures of what I look like now you all would be afraid of me :-D

I have a ton of hair, we did 8 tracks.  We yapped alot, watched a movie, ate and I took my fair share of cigarette breaks (yeh I know, I suck lol) so I think the timing worked out fine.  She was a great stylist, I really liked her and I'm totally depressed she is moving. :(

I used the bohyme french refined again in the 22" handtied.  I re-used the old hair I was wearing which I colored, and added in some light golden blonde which looks good mixed in with the other hair even though it would be way too yellow for me if it were by itself.

I am going to buy a bohyme color ring to try to find an ashy light blonde.  I really loved the dlux color mx24/613.....it is soooooo pretty but it doesn't come in any longer than 18".  Does anyone know where they have 22" inch bodywave or even the french refined in handtied in a light ashy color?  I've searched and came up blank.
