Jet Set just sent me a replacement of the #613 AND it is just as bad as the #613 I returned.

I AM AFRAID TO DO ANYTHING TO THIS HAIR and planning to send it back. I don't want to ruin $200 worth of hair. I had an easier time getting crappy BSS hair that matched PERFECT.

THey also sent me 8 oz of #21 which is way too light and ash for me. If only their colors matched their color ring! I don't know what to do, can anyone help me with fixing the color? How about a toner?

Ok, here is the pictures of the #21 weft, the photo thing works fine for me now.  The edges look jagged because of the way I am holding the weft (the ends are nice), and the top is a little shaded but the color is uniform throughout.

Well, I am glad to report I ordered the hair from jet set at 7am Thursday UPS next day air and when I got home today it was on my doorstep, everything is correct and the hair is gorgeous. I ordered 8oz #1, 2oz #35 for highlights (doing a friends hair) and 2oz #21 (for me) all in silky straight 22-24". Everything was correct, I was worried because I never got a shipping email and all along my order status on the site was "shipping" and I never got any tracking email either.......but my experience with them was great. The fine straight is beautiful, I will take some pictures later before and after it is washed.

The color #21 biege blonde is gorgeous, not yellow at all and exactly the color I was hoping it would be.  It is very close to the D-lux mx24/613 and I'm totally excited I won't have to dye it this time.  It isn't quite as light as a 613, but almost.  It doesn't have the pinky tones that alot of beige blondes do, just a really nice light pastel blonde.

I am sure I am going to post some quesitons before I get started.

It took me about a month before I could figure out how to thread a ring or shrinkie on a threader!  Pictures, how to instructions, and my laptop came with me in the bathroom while I attempted installation in the beginning of DIY. I still have a hard time doing the back of my own head. You will be fine, bring instructions and pics, take your time. Have you practiced on a mannequin yet?

You're welcome Lisa.. JetSet doesn't have anything that would be the same as "Yaki" texture.. IMO, their Textured Straight is similar to Wagman's Relaxed Straight with a LITTLE more texture.. I am contemplating getting the JetSet Water Wave and some of the Textured Straight in bulk and mixing the two to get a similar look. (I would have EP weft the hair for me..)

I know I sound like a broken record here.. But IMO, you honestly aren't going to find a lot of options out there for QUALITY remy hair that looks IDENTICAL to African American relaxed hair. EP, Giovanni's, NG (from what I've seen) and Bliss are the top four choices.. Everything else is cheap crap which performs no better than BSS hair..

For those who can't get there hands on Redken, the Loreal at sally's in either 9.2 (light irredescent blonde) or 8.2 (I like this one better, it is medium irridescent blonde but ends up medium-light if you process for 5 minutes) makes the yellow all go away.  :)  It is a very ashy, kinda pastel blonde.

You can see the color the most in this pic:

Jet Set is well aware that their 613 is chicken yellow in color.  I emailed them early on about that.

To neutralize the yellow, I use Redken Shades EQ in Platinum Ice ( with developer) and process it for just a few minutes.  It cuts the yellow and makes it a very nice pale blond.

Lisa, if you contact JetSet they will send samples.. I think they limit you to three textures.. I have the textured straight, but I would like to see the body wave and the water wave.. Contact them and make a request..

I am happy to say that JETSET is rectifying the problem. I am posting their reply.

"You are right. we checked the colors at our ware house and we noticed that 613 is quite yellow and the bottom is darker. The color is certainly different from #613 in 18inches hair.

Unfortunately, all the hairs in the box are in same situation. And #24 has darker color at the bottom also. But we feel like 18 inches #24 looks a little better.  What we can do for this problem is... We would like to send 18 inches hair for better colors or if you think 18" hair is too short for your hair, since #613 has bad colors in 22 inches, please return your hairs and we will refund your money.

We apologize this problem and please understand that Even it is unusuall, it is still possible to be happened with different circomestance such as temperature, humidity etc. If you don't mind the 18" hair, we can make it deliver by Jun.09 so, Please contact us regarding this matter ASAP to find a way to assist you. We are sorry about this trouble again and we are waiting for your response soon. Thank you and have a wonderful day."

I got the natural wave. I was going to put it in this week, but as I look at it closer, the color is NOT right for me. I bought the color ring a few weeks ago and I emailed them that #613, 22, and 24 all looked identical and if it was perhaps a mismark on the swatches.

They said no and that they were subtly different. The actual hair I got was EXTREMELY different, very yellow. Sherrie is helping me try to resolve this issue since their customer service is very slow right now.

I don't know what color to order now, since the color ring 613 matched my hair perfectly and the stuff they sent doesn't. And the 24 is a whole heck of a lot darker than the color ring swatch.

I am going to buy some BSS hair this week to hold me over until I get this fixed. It will be my first pro-tac install, so I will practice with cheap hair!

I am so excited, the UPS man just delivered my new 22" extensions in #613 and #24. I can't wait to put them in. I just need to wait for the tape I ordered from Sherrie and off I go to DIY-land!

I am pretty nervous about doing this myself though. I just removed my sew-in extensions and boy, that was tough to get out.

I am sure I am going to post some quesitons before I get started.
