Hi I'm new

 

I shaved my hair into a crew cut a couple of years ago.  (Relaxed and dyed purple) because my hair was unhealthy and breaking off and not too cute.  About a year and a half ago now I really started taking good care of my hair and it's growing out and is finally really healthy.

 

Now I relax my hair about every 10-12 weeks depending on how I'm feeling.  My hair texture has changed since it's grown back.  A couple weeks after my relaxer when my hair is wet or damp it's got a sort of S shaped wave to it with a few medium sized ringlets in the back.  I've never had curly hair in my life not even as a baby.

 

In order for me not to be screwing around with my hair or using heat on it I collect and wear wigs and ponyfalls.  I can't braid to save my life but my hubby recently got me one of those mannequin heads to practice on (and I practice on him) so I can give myself braids etc.

 

I think I've prattled on enough.

 

I'm excited to be here it took me forever to find somewhere to talk about black hair care without someone trying to sell me something or go to their salon.
