It should fade. That has happened to my hair when the toner was left on too long. Personally, I didn't care -- I liked it ... but it didn't last. Toner's fade out rather quickly and so will the purple/gray ... as you've probably found out by now since it's been a week. :)

Hi there~
 
Last night a friend of mine bleached her roots.  She also needed to tone her hair, which she did afterwards.  I'm not sure what exactly has gone wrong, but it's almost as if we left the toner on too long because the level 9 blonde hair now has a grey-ish purpley cast to it.
 
I suggested she wash her hair with hot water and shampoo a couple times to see if that will help, but it didn't do much.
 
Will this just fade or must it be corrected?  Thanks!
