could you ask for handtied wefts to be used next time? they are much less detectable

yep I agree with mokipono. You may have to just move your top weft down a little further. I have fine hair in the crown area too and I cant go as close to my hairline as I would like. Also 'sandwiching' does help to make the track less detectable.

Sometimes just moving the wefts farther down on the head can really help. Start your lowest row only 2 or 3 inches up from your hairline in back, and keep the rows close together. You may find using a thicker weft on the bottom will keep you from having to use more than 3 rows.

Visit Sherrie's board regarding Pro-Trac. The link below is a demo from her site. I'm trying the tape this week, as my hair is also thin on top. It looks like it may be a good solution.

Hi,
I have very thin natural hair and I sometimes have problems with wefts peeking through.
What I usually do is just comb my hair into place, so that all the wefts are covered and then I spray with some flexible hold hairspray.  It holds well enough so that they stay covered, but also so that your hair doesn't look stiff as a board.

My hair is thin on top  so I take my top hair and backcomb it.  Then I lightly spread out with a brush or comb and hair spray it in place.  I always check with a mirror to see if it's all covered up.

You should look into using skin wefts for these top rows.. they will be virtially undetectable. Don't know what kind of install you have, but skin wefts need to be secured with tape or glue. (i.e. Liquid Gold glue or Protac tape)

I have the weft type extensions.  My hair is soooooo thin and fine that it is showing thru.  What can be done if anything?  The one's that are showing is at the very top of my head, and a couple in the back!  Do you think she can position them differently....................or is there nothing my hair dresser can do to make this better?
