OK , i have the same thick wavy hair as you and i have found that the short bob look doesn't work. The best length would be at least neck length and maybe a few layers at the bottom. At the moment my hair is cut short in a tapered type look. Which is way more manageable than my old very short bob. I am thinking of growing it out though.
RUSK ANTI-CURL IS A GOOD ONE, THAT ISN'T TOO DAMAGING ON THE HAIR. CAN'T REMEMBER WHAT IT SMELLS LIKE, BUT IT WASN'T REALLY A STRONG SMELL. PAUL BROWN USED TO HAVE ONE A WHILE AGO, AND IT SMELLED NICE! I RECENTLY USED THE HOME STRAIGHTENER BY OGLIVIE (SP?) AND IT WORKED GREAT BUT SMELLED LIKE A PERM!!

I have pretty thick hair that is naturally very wavy and it is cut in a bob just below my ears. I blow it straight every morning and it takes about 30 -45 minutes. I had a straightener put on my hair once about 5 years ago and it smelled like a perm and didn't last all that long. I would like to know what are the best straighteners? Do they all smell? And which ones last longer?
