another thing that i have done is left split end treatments and conditioners on my hair over night, and stoped useing so much heat on my hair, this has helped my hair alot, and the short bits dont look so bad, maybe they just look like a layer!hehe..i hope!

hello all,
id just like to say that ive been dyeing my hair for about 7 years, and it has become a habit!(an annoying one which i would like to loose), any way if this is your problem to, then i suggest useing non-bleach hair dyes, as these tend to break your hair!, mine has done it, but i have grown it out a little!thank god!..dont make my mistake!

It could have the color that is causing it to break off, you might have to bite the bullet and get the damaged hair cut off. I hope it recovers healthy. Did your stylist have any suggestions to remedy this?

hey amber,

you probably don`t want to hear this answer but the only way to get your hair to be healthy is to stop coloring it and just cut off all the damaged ends. the damaged part is not going to get better. you`re better off cutting it off and then grow it back and it will be very healthy and will break off less.

hope this helps:)

Ok... I`m back... haven`t talked to you all in quite some time. Anyways... I made the giant leap today and got my hair back to brown. They didn`t dye over my healthy regrowth which is about 7 inches. The bottom part of my hair had been blonde. I had made it a whole year without dying, or bleaching. GO ME! Anyways.. I THINK I like this brown.. I`m not sure. Its kind of like a light brown. Problem is.. my hair is kind of damaged at the ends. Its gotten a little longer.. but not much. I bought some RedKen color stay shampoo and conditioner. Underneath my hair is where its broken off and I`m going for a trim tomorrow. See.. the underneath part is so broken off that you can tell a major difference in length and I`m trying on concentrating on getting that back healthy. I have no idea why its breaking off though. It`s rare I wear my hair up and I never wear necklaces. So what could be causing this??? Any help?? Please!

Thanks!!!
