Your welcome...just don't forget that when you wash use a WIDE tooth comb or shower detangler...if you don't get the tangles out while your hair is wet you will be in some serious pain.

ok first and foremost, GO ME FOR GETTING A JOB TODAY

thanks people  as well as those that sent me advice in PM, aight just for the record when i say i want braids i mean i want my own hair in braids not the extra artificial/natural hair that females get, thats much too obvious for a male in my opinion, but from the responses ive got i believe i should shampoo my hair then condition THEN get it braided, hopefully the africans in harlem can braid my sh*t. so after getting the braids, what do you people advise  as far as taking care of them and how long should i wait to take them out, again thanks for the responses ppl

I just took my braids out, after one month and had an inch of new growth (pics in my fotki)  You have to maintain your braids daily!  I have my braid care regimen in my fotki journal if you are interested.

Don't get more than 4 inches added to your hair.  A nice bob would be cute.  You don't want that much stress on your roots.

umm... hi.

you should first go to the beauty palor and get a wash and deep condition or wash and deep condition your hair yourself if you shampoo do it like up to 3 times and condition for like 20 to 30 min under a dryer. before you get it done but they should charge no more than $40 sleep with a du rag  after u get it done
I hope this helps!

its like 2 - 3 inches i would say 2.5 but like i said i havent done anything to it as far as shampoo or condition or anything like that i dont really know what to use how many times to use it and when to (wish i had someone to teach me these things) aight i want braids so bad and i was told if i go to the africans here they can braid anything even 1 inch hair. what are you peoples suggestions?

should i get like a short fro first meaning combing my hair out wit a dryer or should i just go braid it and can they even braid it at my length (2.5 inches). n also in terms of my hair type how often should i shampoo / condition an what products u recommend for my hair type.
