Yes conditioner is a life saver. I went to the beach not that long ago. And adding conditioner before hitting the water is really a life saver to your hair as well as the extensions. I also did co-washes daily after I was done 'swimming'. HTH
I lived in Hawaii for several months and spent a lot of time in the ocean. I honestly never really noticed any problems with the ocean water, but I did pay more attention to my hair and took better care of it. The main problem I encountered was tangling. I bought a no-tangle spray which really helped. Conditioner is a god-send, and if you braid your hair you will have far fewer issues. And you want to get that salt water out of your hair asap, so take a shower as soon as your done with the ocean for the day. Other than that you should be just fine. Have fun!

yeah that's what i do too. Conditioner conditioner conditioner. I carry it w/ me like my sunblock. I have to say i don't always braid tho. bad, i know. But i like the sexy curly head locs flowing when i'm beaching it.
i just spent a month on vacation in the carribean. do what they said. wet your hair and put conditioner. but i put loads and loads, and kept the conditioner with me, and added a lot. i needed it though b/c i went jetskiing and stuff and it was easy to get tangled. as long as u conditon it and wet it alot u should be good.
