ok will do! I am going to live with this silly colour for a couple weeks or so to let my hair rest a tad. The kids think its cool so it can stay for a bit lol.
Yes, but do not wash out the red. Put the brown on top of the red. (The red is used as a "filler.")
P.S. I'm glad this is just about your bangs, which grow out relatively quickly. All of this processing is not good for your hair. So I really recommend the strand test so you can minimize the number of bleaching and recoloring.
ok so I need to bleach it out again and then get a red semi, use only the dye, so not the white sh*t in the bottle just the liquid correct?? wash that out and then use the brown??
Your hair actually IS taking the color... you just need to get some red in there. (Read Claude's sticky about color.)
The brown dye was designed to give you a brown color, assuming a "natural" base color. But your hair wasn't a natural color, since you had bleached it out.
So you need to take out that color again... then apply a red semipermanent color the same level as the brown you're striving for. Put the red DYE ONLY (do not mix with developer) on your bangs for about 20 minutes. Then add the brown dye mixture (using the developer this time).
Keep an eye on it - check it every few minutes because you probably won't need the total processing time. I recommend a strand test first!
LOL this is just hilarious really. I work in a daycare and have been letting the kids vote and decide what colour to dye my bangs. The majority of my hair is dark brown and i have the bangs different colours for the kids, 1st it was blue and i bleached it out and went pink and then purple. So today I decided I would go normal for a while since I ahve a wedding to go to soon. So I got medium brown and dyed my hair, the purple part (it was blue and pink manic panic mixed) has turned a strange forest greenish grey colour. So I washed that part with a bleach mixture and then with dish soap (manic panic says to do this to get the extra colour out) so it was a light greenish grey colour so I dyed it medium brown again and now its a medium greenish grey. LOL. What in heavens name do I do now? It is not taking the dye.
