That brand doesn't fade to plain black after a while like the others?

I dyed my hair blue black from medium brown - and I got the real deal! My hair was black in the dark, but as soon as light hit it, it shimmered dark electric blue! I loved it, and had it about 6 months...but then I started to look washed out and went brown again.
BTW, the dye I used was in the Garnier 100% Color range.
More awesome than a manatee!

I tried what was supposed to be a blue-black once, and all it did was make my hair a darker brown -_- . I've heard from people who did get a true blue-black. . . I think with Feria dyes, but I'm not entirely sure. . . and they said it looked great at first but soon faded to just normal black. I'm not sure if anyone ever found a blue-black that keeps its blue yet.
my hair was dark brown and i used blue black dye, hoping to achieve a black color with hints of blue but it turned out just black... so is blue black dye just black, or are there actually dyes that will achieve that kind effect?
