if you want the bottom one your gonna have to grow your hair, and i cant really see if itas down or up because the pic is cut off but if its up id use a wax for his look because it looks soft and light,gel makes it look hard and wet

Hi, I got spike hair that just is just plain. I use regular walmart gel and it just stick up straight or slanted forward if i slant it.  there is like no style to it.  its plain straight and no textures or anything. i think my hair is thin but i dont really know. So what I was wondering if there is any way or products(i've only used gels/mouses/hairspray all my life, I dont know anything about promade/wax/ect.) that could make my hair have some style to it. And is there any way to make my short hair curly/ wavy/messy.
