I agree with using Castor Oil and also the suggestion of using Rosemary EO.  You are already doing your vitamins etc.  There could be several factors why you are loosing hair.  I would suggest that you consult with your physician also.

Health problems plays a huge part in what you hair does because different medications that you may take for problems goes into your blood stream and the blood in your body is what feeds the root of your hair (papillae). This is why sometimes you can lose hair due to what meds you may take. Alot of hair dressers try to fix your hair by doing what they can for the hair already on your head but they can't stop the process of what's going on  in your body and really affecting your scalp underneath.

You should really try cleansing your scalp often with a "scalp therapy" that will cleanse buildup that empties out of your pores and onto your hair. It cleanses deeper than the surface of your scalp. I use this stuff and it really works. I would also recommend a hair oil called " pomade".
Their website at www.deccaplus.com
We tend to put oils and gook on our hair and scalp that all it does is clog our pores. I found out that essential oils penetrate our hair shaft and scalp to promote healthy hair growth. This "pomade" has 10 essential oils in it!
I would try it. I've been using it for a bout a year and my hair is back to the thickness it was in gradeschool.

goodluck!

Since you're anemic, you may want to up your vitamin intake, drink plenty of water and juices, and make sure you are getting a well balance diet.  I would talk to my doctor.

Yeah, what they said.. lol

But also check out Nioxin while you're in Sally's; it's a whole line designed specifically for thinning hair.

carameldiva is right. Right now I use Wild Growth Oil. I found it started selling in sally's beauty supply store. Its in a 4 ounce bottle. Mix that with a couple of drops of rosemary oil and you have a healthy, helpful, growth oil. Do that along with the vitamins and water drinking and you should be good to go. But also check with your doctor about other things you can do or what could have caused it.

vitamins would be a good start, as well as checking your diet and exercising, drinking the proper amount of water.

also i would invest in castor oil- try using it weekly as a pre-poo treatment and you will definitely notice a difference. Also, you tried the baggie method- it will help as well.

Anything else, please feel free to ask.

Ok guys here goes. I have always had nice long fine hair. I never had length or fullness problems till now. My hair still has a little length(almost to bra strap) but it was alot longer and now it is very thin. Thin enough for people to notice. I am not sure if it is because at one point I had a fibroid which caused me to be severely anemic or of it because my scalp is now very dry and itchy. I started going to my hairdresser regularly(every 2 weeks) who said that he was going to help my hair but it's been like 4 months and I have seen no improvement what so ever.

So basically, what do I need to do? Increase my washes, take vitamins, is there an oil or other product for growth, or what? I just need something that will work and fast enough so that I don't get discouraged like I am now. When I look at pictures of how my hair used to look when I was in high school, I get real depressed. How do I get that back?
