Hello all,
It's time for a new set of extensions and as usual, am wanting to try something new. What are your experiences with Bohyme virgin body from ebonyline or the "eletie remy" hair. Which is the best quality for dark hair (#3/#4) and closer match to fine, silky hair?
Thanks!
Skye

I have never used the Elite Remy, Im still a little puzzled about this hair. I was under the impression that it was a wagman primus product.
This was my understanding as well..
Well Skye, I have the Wagman Primus Natural Body hair, and the wefts are AMAZING.. The wefts are VERY well constructed and the hair itself is beautiful.. I buddied up with another forum member and bought 8 oz of this hair.. I will be sending it out to a colorist to have highlights added to 6 oz of the hair (the other 2 with be used to help my hair blend with the highlighted hair). It will definitely be the hair I use for my next install.. Lots of good reviews on this hair.. Look for posts on Wagman Primus and Elite Remy to see how the other ladies love this hair too..

ok....thank you! so do I understand this correctly...sorry Im a PITA
so...the wagman primus colored line that is just recently available, is NOT the same grade/quality of hair as the elite remy that you carry correct? The elite remy and the wagmans new colored line is processed differently.
I'm sorry...it *is* confusing to say the least, isn't it? In a nutshell, all the Elite I carry is processed/treated in one particular way. What you saw is not.
But the elite remy has gotten really great reviews, yet the (blonde) colored hair Ive seen from wagman primus didnt impress me much.
Don't be put off by those photos others and myself posted on BHM. THAT, to me, does not represent the line I carry. That hair we posted in those photos is crapola.
never never never had a tangle with Bohyme. Even after 4 months of my torture...and trust me I put hair through some serious torture with my daily styling routine!
Thanks Sherri and Amm for all your help. A question though, If bohyme has a silicone coating on it, does the hair become tangly and not so nice after it washes off and how long would this take ( for this coating to wash off I mean)?

amm, I believe the 'virgin body' texture by Bohyme is referring to the texture, sort of along the same idea as RK, decribing their 'natural straight'
I believe virgin body is possibly and probably a similar texture to a natural straight. According to Debbie from Bohyme (I just inquired about this texture the other day) The hair is natural texture, no processing to make it straight or wavy. Apparently it has more volume than the bodywave, but is a finer hair in diameter then the other textures.
You are absolutely correct about the weft construction. That is one thing I dislike about Bohyme, it SHEDS. But thats a pretty easy fix. I can seal the wefts and Im good to go. For anyone who is using Bohyme for individuals the wefts are a non issue. Yes it sucks to have to seal a weft, but from my experience with many brands of blonde, my options are pretty limited, and the Bohyme hair quality performs quite well. Actually better than anything else Ive used that is still in a reasonable price range for most people.
As for the beard on Bohyme....never been an issue for me, although I know some people dont like the beard and it can be a problem with a sew in, but personally its never bothered me or hindered my installs.

Yet I must admit, I really havent taken the time to figure it out either.
Thanks for the reply Amm Can you tell me what blends you have available? Also info on the 24" body from your site? My hair is natural #3 baby fine and soft, very slight wave.
This is the problem I'm seeing. Bohyme "Virgin" in all colors. If it's colored and/or processed to texture, it's not virgin.
One difference is that Bohyme has silicone coating. Elite does not.
Another difference are the wefts. Bohyme's foldover hair at the weft is too long for some. The 14/24 blend in Bohyme (pictured) is 1.5" in length. When I'm installing the first row on the front sides, this is a problem. Even going a full inch above the ear, this foldover is not only unbearable but can jut out and bend.
By comparison, Elite has no beard.
As far as weft construction, Bohyme doesn't come close to the quality of Elite.
I get 2 installs from Bohyme before a few things start happening and I can't use it anymore. With Elite, I have a weft I've done 3 installs with and it's wrapped for yet more use.
Now, this is my take and there's differing opinions on this - Bohyme can wear smoother than Elite. Bohyme is Asian and and Elite is Indian. I tell everyone who asks in email about the texture - go lightweight. Wash first and evaluate the amount of hair you'll want to wear. I take almost 11oz of Bohyme for a 22" install and then blend in. I use 8oz with Elite and get the same volume.
I've installed Bohyme and Elite on fine, silky hair as well as coarse more textured hair and like Tangles has said in the past - it's amazing how once it's in, it all magically comes together and blends.
I've got a lot of 22" wefts in off black, brown, golden blonde, platinum blonde and various blends. If I'm doing an install on someone who wants a little darker color than what I carry, I deposit the color in the weft that's one color step above what they want and we're good to go. I'm pretty sure you can do the same with Bohyme.
