Hey Berisweet, welcome to the forum! I think if you're on a tight
budget you can do the DIY method. It's certainly more economical and
you can spend your money on hair.
If you really want to go all out and buy great hair, you can send a
sample of your own hair to Extensions Plus and they will match the
color and texture. They're located in southern California. They have
great quality that will last a long long time. http://extensions-plus.com/
I don't know how long your hair is, I know you said three inches but
it's hard to actually judge. Send some pictures and we can certainly
give a better answer. I use clip-ins every day and a lot of people use
the tape in method (taping the weft to your hair) These seem to have
worked great for most of the members with very little damage. Also,
here is a site with pictures of a lot of the methods. http://hairextensions101.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=16
Hope this helps!

Sorry, I guess I should have answered a few more questions that I missed. Ok, my own hair at this moment is about 3 inches long and of course coming back in curly. The hair that I bought from the salon is straight and was 12 inches. I think because of my hair coming back in curly, I want to change my hair completely. So I was wanting to go curly. I have heard that there are a few shops in Orlando that I can buy the hair from directly, but haven't found them yet, and I am worried about purchasing online, due to color matching, I don't have a clue as to go about that. So I guess that is all I can think of for now.

Oh thank you all so much for your support and I will further investigate the links here. Sorry I didn't reply to you all yesterday, but I honestly even forgot to get online at all. Then I remembered this morning and was thrilled to see all the replies. Oh and yes, I think I will take some pics of what my extensions look like right now and post them this weekend. Now I just need to find someone here in Orlando that does extensions, I haven't found anyone else as of yet, but will keep looking. If anyone knows someone here in Orlando that does them, please, please, please let me know.

Well I advise you to make research on the forum to see previous posts, there are tons of comments and tutorials you can learn from.
As for me, the best hair I have tried so far is Glamourhair, but I have very very bad experiences w/ them by the past. I think they sell Bohyme hair, which has excellent reviews from girls on the forum.
You can get it on Esthersonline.com and Ebonyline.com
Jet Set Extensions is a bit cheaper, nice quality but not as good as glamourhair to me.
If you have dark hair, you can try indian virgin hair, I have never tried it but I have heard it's great.
For the techniques, you have to find out what's the most convenient for you.
Check out one of the permanent link made by 101extensions (Sherrie) at the top of the forum, she has collected a bunch of websites/tutorials on hair extensions.
I am a student and so I have had to learn hair extensions myself because I couldn't afford salon prices. Now I am addicted to it!
Fusion is a good method, some girls love mini tubes, some love protac method... you'll see!
Good luck and congratulation for your battle

Hi Berisweet, I hope you find a good stylist! Finding good hair is not a big problem: many ladies here are eager and willing to share their experiences, just browse around.
Time to complete the outside of the new inner you. After your battle with cancer you should NOT have to battle with bad hair .
Welcome!
I learn to love and try to understand everyone I meet. I see the rainbow hiding in their eyes.

congratulations on winning your battle with cancer, my heart goes out to you as Im sure you went through alot, and Im sure your extensions were meant to bring you some joy after everything you went through. Im sorry to hear youre having problems with the extensions. Sounds like some poor quality hair.
Being in Orlando Im sure there are some great stylists. If you give a little more information on what color length, texture and what you wish to achieve you may get some great recommendations!
I am a cancer survivor and just got my first set of all over hair extensions a couple of months ago. Since then I have had nothing but problems with my new hair. It is constantly tangled, no matter what I use and now it is starting to break like crazy. And now on top of everything else my hair extension specialist has left the country and I have no one I can go to. I am in the Orlando area, so if anyone knows someone good here, I could greatly use the help. Also, can you tell me what the best type of hair to use for my next time, which will be soon. Just keep in mind that I am a single parent on a single income with not a whole lot to spend, but I still want good quality, even if it takes me a couple of months to save the money.
