Hi,
.. maybe after using the color glaze ..instead of not rinsing it, (like the instructions say) put a dab of conditoner on it and rinse. I've used the color glaze for blonde hair.. and it made my hair feel dry, so I did that. Just a suggestion though.
Thanks for your help. I've actually tried that, but the John Frieda color glaze makes my hair really greasy. I rinse and rinse, but it's still greasy. The one thing I haven't tried are the colortreated shampoos. I'll try that. Thanks.

don't put any color over it. first get a clarifying shampoo. like paul mitchell shampoo one or two. then wait a day after washing and use a color glaze. like the one from john frieda. for red hair. and contuine with a colortreated shampoo from now on. that with protect ur color.
My hair is quite reddish naturally, but pretty subtle. I'd describe it as a dark strawberry blone. In dimmer light, my hair looks light brown, in the sun it's obviously red. This summer I spent a lot of time in the pool with my daughter and the sunlight and chlorine have messed up the color. The more brown portions of my hair look muddy and mousy and the more reddish portions are looking orange. Can anyone recommend a really subtle at home color I can put on just to give the color a little boost. In the past when I've tried to make my reddish hair redder I've wound up looking like Lucille Ball or Carrottop. Any help would be appreciated. I probably haven't colored my hair in 8+ years so I'm a little nervous. My hair is down to my shoulder blades, fine in texture, and the ends are a little dry. Thanks for any help!!
