yes, it is the new updated version of the old shag. This would look good because it should look different on everyone, and with your hair being naturally wavy, I think thats even better. . Let me know when you get your cut and what you decide on.

What does that look like? The shag...

My natural hair when I was young was curly. Now it is naturally wavy, but won`t hold a curl well.

(Does that make sense?)

Thanks for the advice.

Rushell, sounds to me like you need to get rid of the damaged, permed area. You didn`t say what your normal hair type is, can I assume it is straight? I think a longish shag would look good. It is a very flattering cut and will get rid of a lot of the permed hair. The length can be at or right above shoulder. Keep wispy, side swept bangs to cover your forehead. Good luck.
p.s. Since you don`t have a hairstylist, please check references before going to a salon. I also think golden blonde highlights would look good with your color hair.

Okay...I need a change! Now, I don`t really have a hairstylist, so just going to a salon won`t do it for me I don`t think...I`m a bit too afraid to do that.
My hair is 3 inches past my shoulders and is cut in layers that are growing out. There is also a perm in there that is growing out...but mostly it is just dull.
I don`t like spending forever on my hair, although I do that a lot when I try to go somewhere. In fact, if I could choose a style, it would be one where I could just wash and go...maybe a curling iron here and there.
I have bangs and like to keep bangs, wispy with a little height.
I just checked my face shape and it is slightly oval, but my forehead is wide and somewhat square at the top. However, when I smile, my cheeks come out, so I look a bit pear shaped. Also a bit wide from top to bottom of my forehead. I have a large forehead, in other words. My hair is brown, kind of light to medium brown. Hot rollers to NOTHING for me...just make it into a big mess. I either let go natural...which looks messy (which I don`t like) or I curl it and it loses curl immediately.
I will cut it, but don`t want a very SHORT style.
Please e-mail me, or post suggestions for me!
Thanks so much!
Ms Rush
