good quality hair that doesnt tangle, mat, turn into a frizzball and will last through several installs isnt gonna be cheap. The term Remy has become HIGHLY overused. Hollandbluejay is right that you you get what you pay for if you buy cheap hair. But at the same time, sometimes you dont get what you pay for when you buy expensive hair either!

I think when buying hair the best thing you can do is research it...ask questions on these forums, and use a tried and trusted brand, or buy from a reputable seller.

I bought some "Remy" hair from a local lady a while back. It was crap within three washed! I don't think she understood what remy means, or she was just out to make a quick buck!

Remy should mean that it's cuticle is still intact, and it should be "cuticle alligned" root to end. This takes a lot more work and effort on the manufacture's part, so naturally they charge more for it.

It could be that the hair is "remy", but it could be just thrown together and not cuticle correct which would turn into a tangled mess fast!!! Also, some companies definition of "remy hair" is that it was cut from only one persons head, but it could have been processed just as badly as the others.

Unfortunately, you get what you pay for with most hair!!!

I've seen Remy in some BSS at around £25 but the quality is soooo bad! It's dry and frizzy even before you've worn it and the beard on the weft is unbelievably long.

Hi Bella Exotic, for Remy Cuticle hair in length 18 and texture silky straight, I have paid between $90 (Jet Set) and $150 (glamourhair).
Will try Bohyme ($120) very soon.
By the way, this is for light blonde colors.
So no, your stuff is probably not Remy sorry!
