Bingo. Glad to see another eagle eye out there recognizing that fact.

I do think this is actually a cool concept if one can verify the validity of it. Unfortunately, this particular site sets off the wrong bells and whistles for me.

And now you get this! It feels a bit icky. Makes one wonder if these girls voluntarily give up their hair. Is this perhaps a new type of "pimping"?? And those prices!!!!
There have been LOTS of articles written in American, Indian and worldwide newspapers about the Indian/Asian hair trade.. There are quite a few Indian companies offering this hair for sale, and most of these companies touch on the fact on their sites that the hair is donated temple hair..

Plus there's tons of other information out there in the world regarding the temple hair and it's disposition.. I think the donors (in India at least) know full well what happens to the hair when they donate it.. The temples are VERY open about the fact that they sell the hair. The money is supposed to be used to support the temple's charitable activites and maintenance..

I learn to love and try to understand everyone I meet. I see the rainbow hiding in their eyes.

It does seem that people on the site are trying to cash in!

There must be a site that offers a better service. Though I guess it would be hard to test the quality or claims made...

I think those prices are INSANE. I can buy a full head of the BEST quality TOP of the line hair that is already wefted for far less, and you know its clean and sanitized. With these hair auctions how would you know what you are getting for sure?

You can buy hair straight from the head of the person who grows it. I'm not sure if you guys have seen it before but it seemed like an interesting concept.

I think RK are advertising here to...

I've seen this, and some of these women are smokin' some good ish to think that anyone in their RIGHT mind would pay these prices for their hair.. Plus it's bulk hair and you would still have to pay to have it wefted unless you are doing a strand method of install..

Hi Tangles,

I've bought hair from 2 companies in India:
www.skmhumanhair.com It took 4 weeks for my last parcel, but he did come through. He explained to me the company was shut down for a big featival in India. With hindsight I would buy hair from him again. His prices are really good. You have to tell him to quote a price in US dollars not Euros.
www.shepherdindia.com These friends just got back from a Christian outreach in Iran. I really trust them, although the price has gone up a bit.
Both of these companies carry longer lenghts.

You can buy a whole kilo of 30" Indian hair for about the same cost as the single 4 oz. ponytail.
