QuoteReplyTopic: Homemade Hair Dye- Does this Work? Posted: September 17 2006 at 2:29pm
Oh, by the way that recipe for deep conditioning for beautifull hair that they have, is really really good. And it actually works. Makes your hair beautifull. Unfortunately I can't use it myself because I can't stand avocados and just the smell of it, makes me gag. So If I put that in my hair, I would be throwing up for sure. But someone I know used to use that, and it really does work. So if anyone wants to try it, go ahead.
Great link by the way Elsie. Thanks

Well, first of all what is your natural hair color? If you are a blonde, for example, no amount of coffe or tea is going to turn you into a brunette. I know that natural dyes work well to enhance natural color or deepen it. But I doubt You can drastically change color with it. I do know however, that my aunt used to make hair dye with cool-aid to dye her dark hair red. Howeve the effects where more like that punk red, instead of the red you would get from actual hair dye. I guess you can say, they are more of a hair stain than a color. If you are a natural brunette and would like to give your color a kick, the tea or coffe thing will work great. If you are looking for extreme color change, stick with real hair dye.
Much love, shary
