I used to use manic panic in vampire red all the time. It does fade pretty quickly, but like she said on bleached hair it may not.

Well her streaks are beautifull, but they look professionaly done. Since you already died your hair, bleaching it in a certain pattern or just some areas and making it look good, is going to be very difficult to achieve on your own. Not to mention the damage the bleach will cause to your hair, specially if you are not experienced in using it. I would really suggest going to a good colorist for that.

Much love, Shary

first of all, i think that would look GREAT on you :)

Yes, you would have to bleach, since color won't lift color, but you prob. won't have to leave the bleach on TOO long since you aren't going to blonde.  Orange would be fine if you are going to put red dye over it anyway.

ive heard teh same thing about manic panic, however teh more damaged your hair is (ie: bleached) i believe it lasts longer since it can get into the hair easier.  One other dye to check out is 7R (called bright red or something) from Ion Brilliance (at sallys).  I used it once, and it did NOT turn out the color i thought it would!LOL! it turned out just about the color of the streaks in your pics.  and it is permanant so it'd prbly last pretty long.

I really do like how she did her streaks, and you should do you'res like tha too :)

hope my humble opinion helps ya hehe ;o)

and I want to add some bright red streaks.

Here is me before:

After:
(Looks darker inside, point was to show layers)'

And this is what I want:

So, my questions are:
  • Do you think it would look good on me?
  • Would I have to first bleach the spots I want to dye bright red?
  • What dye is good, Manic Panic has some beautiful bright reds but I heard it fades fast?
  • And should I do the streaks like her, random chunks underneath and around the face?
Thanks,
Chelsea.
