I did purchase this system and to install it is really no more work than any other strand by strand system.  A full head took me 3.5 hours.

The bonds are kind of big, but since they blend into the hair so well, it works good.

I have been experimenting with using skin wefts, folded in particular ways, to try to duplicate the effect. I have also tried different glues.

I would not use the hard bond glue.  You see, after my many emails to the creator of the X10D, he told me that his strands are meant to disinergrate when acetone is applied, since that's really the only way to remove the strand from the hair.  I tried his hard bond glue on regular skin wefts and I could not get it out of the hair without ripping hair out.  That glue is essentially super glue.

So overall I like the X10D system, but since you can only use the strands 1 time and the price is high ($400-600 for the hair) I don't think I will use it much.

It seems like a lot of work!! I think it would be good for the top couple layers to use with another system, because it's not an obvious bond, Especially if it's close to your natural color?

I don't know, it's interesting...

please check out this link and put back some info on what you think

i wonder if the "bonds" will be too big and noticeable
if you buy hair with the skin wefts if you can just just and make them your self using a different adhesive. not sure so any input would be great before i order there kit and try it out!
