I agree with Naked Eye, get a looper brush to brush at the bond area. A soft bristle brush or a wide tooth comb for the length. But dont use a ball tip brush. Alot of people use a diluted fabric softener rinse or in a spray bottle. Another good product is the velvasil leave in conditioner spray.

Get a looper brush!! Shrinkies.net and hairextensions101.com store both have ones. Brush gently through the extension bonds to prevent matting. Also, go through and seperate with your fingers. Sometimes when I do individuals the sections aren't always clean, and that will make some pulling.

Also, sounds like whoever did your hair wasn't very professional. If you have questions, call her up and ask for detailed answers, I'm sure you paid enough!

she put in my extensions about 4 mm from my scalp, it still aches a lot is this usual?

With individuals, a boar bristle brush is good. It does feel uncomfortable for the first few days. I'm surprised they didn't tell you much about maintaince. Sulfate free shampoo is best.

Soft bristles will be kinder... .
If you look around you'll find posts about similar hair with lots of advice on how to deal with it.
It's not unusual for you to feel a bit uncomfortable right now, especially cos it's your first extensions, but it shouldn't hurt. Did the girl that put your hair in put them real close to your scalp?
I also think she should have given you lots of info... .
You should be able to wash it every 2 or 3 days. Just don't put conditioner on the bonds.

Hi, i had my first hair extensions put in today. She used mono fibre pro hair, she put in glue and used a heat gun thing. But they didn't really give me any advice to how to look after them (don't wash to much and use a special spray was really all) I asked what sort of brush to use and they said with plactic spikes. I looked on the prohair site and there it says to use a soft bristle brush. what is correct. Also my hair is really pulling now, is this usual? Please any advice is welcome. Thank you.
