Okay, I have emailed the owner to make sure this is the correct ppl....I mean....lol....how many Magnolia's (daughter) and Lynn's (mom) can there be....I have been gone for 6 years now though....boohoo!!
Thank you so much! I would also like to know the name of the salon you are talking about in Destin. I vacation there in the summer and I would love to get my hair done while I was there. You can pm me with that info if you prefer. Thanks so much!

I use prisms or the kalidocolors...with prisms I use the 30 vol. to speed up the process and it is nice to tone or put a gloss over your hair before you take the cap off to add shine...you don't have to but it helps the cuticle close....and deep condtion afterwards....ask any friend like I do to do the crown and back....clarify shampoo before highlighting to remove buildup.

I have just about decided to do it myself. I have done it before I just have a hard time seeing my crown and the back. Is there a bleach that I can get from Sally's or even at a drugstore that is gentle to the hair?

If you are close to Florida, make a road trip to Destin/Fortwalton for a stylist named Lynn....her daughter is a magnificent colorist. Lynn is awesome with haircuts and and she did my hair GREAT, but Magnolia would advise her on the color, that was several years back so she may have gotten more knowledgable since...but still I had no complaints and my hair looked the best ever.

I have very long, thick hair which is probably a level 2. The stylist that I used for years will NOT highlight it like she used too, I honestly believe it's because it takes so much time. She used to foil it back to back and it was blonde all over but when my roots grew out......it was AWFUL. I then considered the dimensional look, i.e. a med brown and dark blonde highlights. I have tried several other hair stylists and I don't know what the problem is, but when they use the color for the brown, my hair turns bright pumpkin orange and breaks off terribly. I know this is possible because about 8 years ago, another stylist brought an educator with Farouk in to her salon to "try" my hair. She did my highlights with nothing but color, and my hair was is great condition and it was blonde!! Was that luck or am I just going to all the wrong stylists??? I've got about a 3 inch regrowth right now and I am desperate. If someone knows how I could get my base a med. brown with no orange, (or knows an awesome colorist anywhere in Georgia!!!) please let me know! Thanks!
