Not really, people tend to have different standards for their offspring, either that they'll appreciate it on others but you'll be damned if my little girl will do itor "How dare you it looks great on m daughter). Even if someone isn't outright against funky haircolours, they'll still be a lot more picky as to how they work. I have bright red hair and I get an amazing amount of this. It seems that unnatural hair colours are okay to a lot of people if it's the one exact colour they'd rather it be.

I would love to reply to this one, but understand this particular forums sensativity to "hair politics" disrupting the conversation. Rather than start a conversation that forced Dave to ban me I'll PM rosalie with my opinions.
I love Joss' hair. It takes guts to wear it.

Also fake hair colors are associated with young teenaged girls.
That's a stupid thing to say. That's only true because you make that
association and try your damn best to make sure nobody else has them.
However if you like it, then wear it, and why hate people who
disagree with you about something like hair colors or hair styles?
Are you that sensitive and insecure?
Or maybe I just don't like being discriminated against. It's not easy to get a job with pinkish red hair, you know.

It isn't a question of conformity or how you are programmed fashion
wise, it is just to many people that green, or bright orange, or maroon
hair doesn't look good to them.
It is a question of preference.
Also fake hair colors are associated with young teenaged girls.
However if you like it, then wear it, and why hate people who
disagree with you about something like hair colors or hair styles?
Are you that sensitive and insecure?
If others don't like it, so what? What do you care? Do what you like to do!
And is that why you wear fake hair colors, just to annoy people that don't like it?
That is not much of a reason to wear a fashion style.
Now that is a juvenile reason to wear a style or a hair color.
You should wear it because you like it and believe it looks good on
you, not simply to offend others you consider too traditional or
whatever.

It's not all completely purplish red, she has black streaks, they
enhance the look I think. It looks gorgeous. She just needs to wear
some clothes that go a bit better with it I think, and she needs to let
her skin go pale.
Also, what's wrong with being pudgy? I know you're not endorsing
anorexia, but I still don't find "thin" attractive at all unless the
girl is unusually cute. I think "pudgy" is how women are meant to be
naturally anyway, only little girls are "skinny". Society still has
serious problems with sexually mature women.
Most "being fat is
unhealthy!" studies are severally weighted by the enormous 500 pound
blimps that end up in them, as well as skewed by the fact that they're
influenced by diet companies. I think this is one place hwere you have
to make a judgement call for yourself, and see how many chubby people
have health problems related to it... I know very few indeed. Something
is really off there.
So I hope she puts the weight back on and then some, she looks more attractive that way.

Haha, she has the colour I dye my hair normally. It looks better on her
than it does on me :) The second picture is bad lighting I guess. I
think it's a gorgeous colour and you're all being fuddy duddies. At
least it's different., most people only do red streaks, she has her
whole head purplish red. I hope she keeps it for a very long time! And
when she gets rid of, dye it an equally offensive colour to
conservative types.
I hate people who think any unnatural colour is icky or immature... stop giving into your programming :/

The red hair looks atrocious on her, methinks! I hope she doesn't destoy her hair when she re-dyes it blonde. Well, the present dye job is preferable to an eyebrow or lip piercing, but that's not saying much. Blessings, Bob

I didn't say she was obese in that top pic, but she looks pudgy, including her face. Obviously.
I am not one of those women who believes women need to look anorexic
either. I was just making a point about her. It just isn't a good pic
of her. Her hair doesn't look good in that pic either.
In the bottom pic she looks good, just awful hair color.
She also needs a new stylist. She could look alot better with a nice hair color and her hair styled differently.

She looks overweight in the first pic and her hair isn't that great. She doesn't look that good as a blonde either.
She looks better in the bottom pic, but I don't care for the color of
her hair, it looks not only artificial but the color of cough syrup or
paint on a car or something.
She might look good as a brunette.

I've always thought that blonde was her natural colour so I'm surprised she's gone that dark - but I think she looks stunning in both pictures regardless.
I'll go on record as thinking it is flat out stunning.
I hope I don't offend female readers with this one....
The whole concept of very "nice sweet girls" who just have a little bit of sexy/sultry/sluttiness to them is downright sexy. It is even MORE sexy when these same nice sweet girls roll with their dirty side, but somehow maintain their inherent sweetness. It is a difficult thing to pull off.
Joss Stone does this with her voice, being an incredibly sulty, and subltly sexual entertainer who just does it in good taste. She does it again with this look. Unlike Christina Aguilere she manages to bring out her dirty side in a way that somehow just enhances her inherent good girl qualities without overwhelming them or deteriorating to straight sleaziness. I have no doubt that this won't be permanent, but the fact that she just felt like doing it for a while makes her that much cooler. Few pull it off this well

Well, I guess you chalk that one up to the fact she is young and wants
to try a new look...it looks good, but there was just something about
her older look...more pure, like her voice. I'm thinking
downgrade.
