thanks again Sexi. Now i see what kind of product it is. I am going to search for someting like that here. Because if i order it, the shipping cost a lot more than the product self. When i need adhesive i order a lot of things in one time, because i have to pay $ 36 for shipping one supertape or 1 bottle of mity tite.

What is Desolve it normally use for. We don't have that in Holland. Many thing that you girls use is hard for me to find in Holland. Maybe they have something here that works like Desolve it. I hope so, because i also have trouble with cleaning my unit. The glue always stay in it. The first app was the best. Now i always fighting with my units and always there is still glue on it. I use lase release, acetone, after search really hard i found 99% alcohol. But that don't work for me. Maybe i do something wrong.

desolve it???? lawddddddddd i wish i would have read that before i bought goo gone!! i have that problem right now in one section of my unit, but to me it was like hell going through all that cleaning and sealing and all that....if i just do that small part will i have to reshampoo and seal and all that other mess??? -sigh- LF aint no joke...

i bought some of that desolve it ,that stuff is the truth,thnx for the tip sexi, once i sprayed it on and let it sit for a bit,it loosened up that caked up invisibond,i washed the unit and i think im good

I agree that there are many ways to clean lace as far as Invisibond I had that problem of it totally saturating and staying on the lace even after washing. I don't think that it is too late to try to get it off however. I hope you have another unit on hand so you can work at removing the Invisibond on the one unit at your leisure. Good Luck!

I use the 91 or 99% alcohol when I use non-tape adhesives. I saturate a sponge with it and press it all around the perimeter of the unit. Wait a few minutes to let it soak in and then come back with more alcohol and just dab/roll the adhesive off. If I use tape, I press the sponge along the perimeter of my hairline and lift the lace off of the tape. When I do it this way, the tape sticks to my skin and not the lace. this is my preferred method as the cleanup is minimal. There's a bunch of ways to do it, just find one that's easy and efficient for you.

i use desolve it, i spray it on and i always use the 99% alcohol b/c it breaks down the properties in the glue better than 91% altho it works just not as fast.. let it set a minute and then come back with a soft tooth brush and get busy it will roll right off..
okay ladies, the problem i have is after using 99% alcohol or either acetone to remove adhesives, i STILL have some adhesive that is in my lace it looks white and caked up, so when i reapply it, its definitely noticeable, is there anything that i can saturate the lace with that will be able to remove all traces of the adhesive so i dont have that issue at the hairline that screams "its a wig", i want it to look flawless as it did when i first purchased my unit, thanks in advance, i heard alot about goo gone, do u think that will help, i plan on taking my unit off today so that i can get this issue resolved before tomorrow when i go back to work..i dont want people lookin at my hairline saying why is her hairline so white and crusty...lmao
I have the same problem, but i don�t think i am using too much adhesives. I also use alcohol and acetone and the mirror slide. I never saw goo gone in the Netherlands.

thanx for responding philigirl, thru trial and error i realized that i was using waaay too much inivisibond, and that was the problem, so now i have it stuck in my lace and its dried and caked up from a previous app and i want to remove it and start from scratch..will the dawn work once its already dried onto the lace? thanks in advance

I have the same problem with cleaning my unit. I think i don�t think i use to much glue or tape. I also use acetone and alcohol. I do the miror thing.

djamb, how much adhesives are you using? Could it be that you are using too much? Try the mirror, foil, saran wrap slide and follow with dawn dish detergent (which is the best IMO)

I use saran wrap around my wig head. Then I place the whole wig on the head, (after spraying down with tape remover) then rub & lift! Most of the residue gets sucked right out of the grids for a quick clean.
I also give it a Baking Soda soak every so often....I find it keeps the hair softer longer in my dry climate..

I do the saran wrap on the bathroom mirror similar to how Breh does with the foil...never thought of the foil Breh, I'll have to try that one...but I squirt so Goo-Gone on the lace and let it soak in more Goo Gone for about 5-10 minutes then I slide the lace of the unit on the saran wrap and then I wash the lace with Dawn dish detergent and then I proceed with the normal shampoo and condition.
