ConfusedSeraphina gave good advice, and you may be noticing it more, as long hair on the carpet and your comb is more obvious. Just comb your hair gently and don't pull on knots! But, just in case, why don't you try this treatment? Rosemary oil, lavender oil bonded with almond oil. Put some on the ends of your fingers and dab through your hair only on the scalp (to prevent hair looking greasy). This treatment keeps hair from falling out, even for men, but might not restore areas of baldness, as it does for women. As you still have your hair, it is very possible you could prevent ever having thin hair.

It is worth doing this, and you can do it in the morning or at night. As for long hair, it used to be said the weight causes extra hair loss. Also that vitimins are taken into the hair and not enough left for the scalp. No-one knows for sure, but making sure to have all the vitamins and minerals you need would be good for your general health anyway.

Good for you having long hair! Most men don't want the trouble and cut it short, which is such a shame and a waste of beautiful hair! Yes, I do love hair very much, on men and women. Especially, on myself! Well, good luck with this.

I'm no expert but I don't think there's any truth in this.  You're just noticing more hair owing to the length, it's not really the quantity just the actual hair is longer which makes you think it's more, and hair has it's life anyway, when it's finished its cycle it drops out and new hair grows.

Is it true that the longer the hair, the more you lose? I noticed this when I was younger...my hair was longer than it has been for the past several years. It used to be about 3-3.5 inches, and I remember combing it in the mornings (parted style, you remember that? Back in the 90s) and my comb would have a lot of hair that it caught as I combed it through my hair...and then when I shaved my hair, there was barely any hairloss (or none that I noticed anyway). The doctor, or someone who heard it from a doctor, told me that we lose about 100 hairs a day naturally...so is it true that longer hair accelerates hair loss?

I'm a guy whose father has lost a lot of hair due to hereditary baldness, and I'm worried if I might lose mine too...I hear that guys go to their mother's father...but I've noticed that my hairline may be receding (not sure though...) and so I thought, well hey, if I'm going to lose it, why not grow it out real long before you lose it, like you always wanted to?

Help a brother out!Tongue
