Sure Valentine, I'll let you know.

BTW, I forgot to mention that the picture on the top right corner is a comparison of bonds of (from top to bottom) Liquid Gold and Protac, Protac alone and Protac and that Liquid Adhesive from Glamourhair.
The bigger picture on the bottom is a closeup of the bond.
Good luck with your full LG head!Embarrassed

Ok, so I tried the liquid adhesive from glamourhair on my top back row, and I wanted to show you the results.

I've had a similar experience...well not exactly. But, the lg wasn't consistently staying in my hair and I was getting a lot of lift(Even on the sandwhiched edges)

So...after I lay down my LG wefts I cover them with protac cut to either 1/2 or 1/4 width, depending on if I use singles or doubles.

With that being said...I don't go up as high as you...only 1-2" above ear at sides, and at ear in the back.

Hmmm....I will have to look into that kit you mentioned
I've got a new puppy!!!

Hi Everyone!

I have decided last friday to try liquid gold for some of my top wefts and I wanted to share my little experience w/ you!
The main reason why I wanted to try liquid gold is to be able to hide my top rows better, Protac was good but even though I cut the tape almost in half and there's like 1 or 2 milimeter of tape showing on top for my top rows, it was still a little shiny line that was showing in case of wind or if my hair had taken a funny move, like after sitting down on the couch.
Anyway, what I did is that I cut the Protac tape almost in half again, leaving only let's say 1/8th of an inch on the top of the handtied weft, then I put some Liquid Gold on the tiny part of the tape all the way along and covered it with some of my natural hair.
I did some great and not so great work.
If I put the right amount of LG all the way then the weft was totally invisible, which allowed me to place the weft basically as high as I wanted, let's say half an inch from my part line.
If I put too much LG somewhere on the weft or didn't put the weft right the first time, I could notice some big spots of LG showing through my natural hair.
So I did that for a total of 5 pieces, all top rows. The back of my head is close to perfect in terms of invisibility of the weft now, I am very pleased! Thumbs%20Up

I noticed a problem with some of the "invisible" wefts I have done though.
I have experienced 2 small wefts that started to "get out" of the protac tape.
The tape was holding great in my hair + LG but the weft itself was starting to slide out. I realised that I probably had to put a bit of LG inside the tape too to make it hold better.
So this morning I tried to take out a weft+ Protac+LG, my first experience with removing LG, and after only 2 days!!! Confused
It was tough, but I did it, I used pure acetone, oilve oil and citrus oil, alltogether.
I realised that the removal of LG really has nothing to do with the removal of Protac (so easy!) and the process of removing LG reminded me of removing fusion strands w/ keratin glue, you've got to be patient!!! Rolling%20Eyes
So I put back in a weft of protad almost cut in half, with a piece of bohyme handtied weft with LG inside the tape, then placed it on top of my head, put a layer of liquid gold on the small part of tape showing, put my own hair above it, and .... voila!!! The perfect weft for me!!!! Razz

When I was doing this, I was thinking "too bad there isn't another glue, that would hold great but wouldn't be so hard to take out", ant I remembered the glue I used with the Seamless hair from Glamourhair.
I bought the whole kit, and they sold a liquid adhesive that you put on the tape of the seamless hair. It is supposed to hold 4 to 5 weeks if I remember well, it's very easy to use and clear.
So I went through my "hair bag" and found back the liquid adhesive. I tried it on a small part of a weft. I used it to cover better the protac tape by sticking some more natural hair on the tape. It worked amazing!!!!
And I know for experience that this glue is not a mess to remove!...
I'll keep you posted on how it holds. I checked the Glamourhair hair website and they still sell it, it's $15.

I have also created 2 files on photobucket so you could check out my first install with Protac and Bohyme only (bohyme handtied, silky straight, 22', mix of colors 16, 24 and 14B, 4 oz) and my mini-install w/ liquid gold :

I have added some pics of an handtied weft that has gone weird, for some reasons, its wefts is getting looser and larger, I guess it's a maintenance problem, I though maybe you could help me find out what happend?!!
Take care!!
