If she wanted her hair to look like this, then more power to her. It shouldn't matter what I or anyone else thinks. She should do what she wants. I admit I'm not a big fan, but you go girl. Or something like that.
I read somewhere that she's currently filming Hellboy 2 or something. Seems kind of fitting for her character, so I hope that's what prompted this cut.

I think that *no one* could carry this hideous cut well, and even the lovely Selma Blair's appearance is decimated by it. Why couldn't she leave her gorgeous locks alone? This is ghastly! Bob
P.S. Karen and ssjockey, I *hope* that those "'cute' short cuts" fail to gain traction, altho' I admit that a minority (10%?) of women look fantastic with them. Most women age 5-10 years with that style, IMO.

I HOPE it is for a movie roll, bowlcuts usually don't suit women (or most men). I like a cute short cut as much as the next person, but this is not it. She has had cute short hair before, and with luck, this could grow into a cute style.
I added some Before photos to the post about Selma.
In my humble opinion she looks better with a fringe than without and she has the face and body type to support a cute short style (which is definitely becoming more popular) but I think the shaved side is just not right for her look.
That which doesn't kill you makes you stronger or drives you totally insane. :-)

At first I couldn't believe my eyes of actress Selma Blair with her radical new short haircut. I saw the photos on my friend Dave's site at DailyCeleb.com.
The image below are taken from December 18, 2006 in LA.

I actually blew them up to try and see the style closer. It is definitely shaved on one side ala Pink.
Not sure why she did it but it definitely is different.

Selma has very nice eyes which benefit from a fringe but she also has a strong chin that is softened by texture and a longer style. Of course that is just my opinion.
