If possable, try to just grow out the color. If thats not an option go to a profesional and have them dye your hair a medium shade of brown. Wait about a month then go back and have them lighten it. If nothing else you will have a nice redish brown color you could live with. I don`t know if it will work but you got nothing to lose. Good luck.
Hi I totally went through a similar thing with my hair I tried to go blonde my hair pulled red/orange and then dyed over it twice with brown to get the red out, didnt work finally resolved to going to the hairdresser (which I should of done in the first place) and she pulled blonde highlights in with a cap then took cap out and toned my whole head now I really love my color and there is no trace of red THANK GOD

I think it is pretty hard to get rid of red. My daughter went through that a month or so ago. The stylist tried dying it back to her natural color with a couple of processes with mixed results (very flat brown with still lots of red showing through). Finally, they highlighted it blond all over. The red did show through eventually but she was advised to just keep getting the blond highlights and eventually she will be blond again completely. It actually looks very pretty right now. I guess the lesson here is that unless you plan to keep it, or you have very short hair that you can cut off fast, don`t go red.

i go t my blondish hair dyed a couple months ago. I wanted it a light brownish red. It turned out bright red in some places and dark brown in others. I went back and got it stripped. The problem is the red never came out. Now my roots are starting to grow in and i cant get them to match the rest of my hair. can anyone help?
