With the heat glide, play it by heart. If you feel you need more, by all means use more. The trick is to really rub your hands and to start applying at the ends and work your way up to the top. Or if you prefer, divide your hair into sections, and use little tiny droplets, rub between hands, and apply to each individual section (always starting at the ends). That way you can make sure you are getting enough protection, since your hair is so thick.

Thank You Sharyg11,actually I did find that post & what you had said.I ordered the 1 1/4 already,I had a 1 1/2 HT that I returned(my honey didn't know bless his heart) I do have the Heat glide-Redken that you suggested. I've read what you have told others,however 2drops in my long hair,can that really provide that much heat protection ? I rub it in my hands to apply but it really doesn't feel like its enough to go thru all this thick mass of mine,i don't want it greasy but I sure do want all the strands protected..& yes this is my first rodeo with a flatiron LOLEmbarrassed

Hey, I can help you with that. The one I tried was actually the 1 1/14 inch and it has no swivel plates. So that one would be OK to get. Or just go with the 1". It is much lighter and easier to use. I've found that with irons the smaller the better. The 1" irons are usually the best. And do not forget to use a heat protectant.

Hello everyone I need some help, I read somewhere on here Sharyg11 said something about the swivel plates on the Solia flat iron,and not to get that one but on the Folica site i found no mention of a 1 1/4 one without the swiveling plates. Is the one with the adjusting plates ok or a pain to use? want to order soon any help would be appreciated. Thank you so much
