Thats is def. strange because I would think the opposite would happen because if you are just conditioning no shampoo, wouldnt that weigh your hair down more, making it more straight? Well I noticed that certain kinds of condtioner make my hair straight, while others make it wavy. If you are not brughing after you get out of the shower, that will make your hair wavy too. Thats what i notcied with my hair. Anyways.... I wanted to ask you a question too... Does not shampooing your hair create build up on your scalp overtime?

I might guess that your natural texture is being revealed due to your new regimen. Maybe your old conditioning routine left residue which weighed down the curls?

OK, first off, I am a refugee from the Long Hair forum, so am definitely on a different path than many of you. :)
Since mid-November I have not used any shampoo. My hair has taken a bit to adjust to this, but seems happy. Sometimes I "wash" with water, sometimes with very diluted apple cider vinegar, sometimes with (natural, silicone-free) conditioner, sometimes with Snowy's Moisture Treatment (deep conditioner mixed with honey and pure aloe vera gel).
My hair has never been happier.
BUT - my hair has also never been wavier! Has anyone else experienced this? It's really amazing...I was a straightie as a kid, and now have these gorgeous natural spirals at the bottom of my bra-strap length hair!
Could it be that more moisture is causing more waves?
