Happy new year everyone! I came across a little tutorial over the holidays that I thought might be helpful to some of you.

I used to use strand-by-strand methods, so I always ordered bulk hair. Then, I switched to protac/wefts. Problem was, I still had all of this bulk PlastikHaar and didn't know what to do with it. So, my mom and I figured out how to make wefts out of bulk without glue. It's quite time-consuming but it works and is better than throwing out good hair!

For anyone who's interested, I found the step-by-step here: http://www.nonidolls.com/weft.html (it's actually a dollmaking site, but the same techniques apply). Because you use tissue paper on both sides of the hair, it won't trash your sewing machine. The biggest challenge is feeding the hair evenly into the weft, but with this technique it holds incredibly well - no shedding!
