Everytime I've coloured wefts using a permanent I've found the quality was reduced noticably so now I prefer to just go out of my way to get the correct colour in the first instance though that's sometimes difficult and can take extra time!

Well, your concerns are more than just the weft, I've bleached the jetset an the weft was fine but the the hair was destroyed in a short period of time.  I'm assuming most 613 is treated to reach the color in the first place so it's a double process.  I had no problem with the weft when I colored it the same color as you are going but the hair made it only a month.

TanglesRC, sorry you're correct, I was quite vague. I meant would I damage the hair weft if I colored it prior to install.

I also color my wefts,my natural hair color is very hard to get an exact match with!! So I usually get the hair wefts a shade lighter than my own hair color, then I use a Demi-permanent hair color like clairol's natural instincts.Be very gentle with your wefts when coloring,it can tangle easily! Also, it is best to only color if you are darkening the wefts with a demi color. Trying to lighten the wefts may ruin them. Hope this helps! :-)

I color my wefted hair all the time. It holds up just fine.

Has anyone done this before?
I'm sure no one here recommends dying extension hair.
Kinda wondering if the wefts will get all funky at the attachments?
