I would like one that doesnt damage hair so much. I have heard about some infared technology that can dry the hair from the inside out so hair doesnt get fried...yet,I have never seen one to buy.
I also love my IONIC blowdryer. I have virtually no frizzes when I use it.
And maybe one where the cord doesnt get all tangled too,I hate that.

But I too wouldnt be seen dead with wet hair outside.Thumbs%20Up

Hi Ian,

I will try and give you some insight to why us girls, need our hairdryer's, lol.

1) we wound'nt be seen dead outside with wet hair.
2) we can be a bit vain when it comes to our looks and hair style.

No seriously, I am a hairdresser, and what I look in a good hairdryer is the how quickly it will dry hair, for instance my hairdrier has a turbo boost (honest) button that blasts the hair dry in seconds. I love it it is great especailly when your clients are in a hurry. The only down fall is it is quite heavy and can cause aches in the arm and shoulder's.

I would like to see a more safty feacture on hairdrier's ( mine is ok) hairdriers must have a safety cover on the back to avoid hair especailly if you have long hair, from getting into the back of the dryer. The manufactures could make this safer by ensuring no hair could ever get into this area of hairdriers, to ensure safety.

I hope this helps you a little. KarenSmile

  Hiya,

Im currently studying an MSc in Advanced Product Design, and i am working on a project for designing a Hairdryer to be more sustainable. Being a guy, with relativly short hair, i personnally do not use a hair dryer, so to help me with my project i am tryin to find out what issues people have with hair dryers, and what features and qualities in their designs are important to you, the consumers.

I would be very gratefull for anyone who left me some feedback about the following:

Important features for hair dryer design (from ur point of view)

Problems you encounter with your hairdryer whilst using it

Anything you would like to see in hair dryer design, which isnt already available, or improvements to current designs

Any other comments you would like to add i would be very very gratefull for :)

Look forward to hearing back from you.

Many Thanks

Ian
