If you need to blend some colors, definitely use Sherrie's website. She has great prices, a wonderful customer service and Bohyme hair is gorgeous.
Try a pack of 4oz to begin with and see if you want more.
Other good websites for Bohyme hair: ebonyline.com, hairsisters.com, they have great prices too, especially if you want one solid color.
I would recommend you to try handtied wefts, it's a little more pricey but the wefts are so much nicer.
Then I would try to have the extensions you're wearing removed, either by a friend if you can, because it's sew in, so it's not too hard to remove, or by the salon that put them in.
Then I would recomment you to try to put your new Bohyme hair back in yourself -if you're on a low budget- with the Protac method for example, which is very easy to do on your own.
Go to Sherrie's website and check out the tutorials for Protac or LG, you can order the Protac on her website too!
I cannot advice you for the texture of hair you need, because I am totally ignorant about curly/weavy hair, maybe you'd be happy with bodywave or French refined, who knows?... Good luck in your search !
I would suggest using the Samy Silk Dropps or The John Freidas Extra Strenght Drops (Anty Frizz) they make wonders to hair. Use after washing your hair.

It look like to me that the extension hair is more of a deep wave or tight french refined than body wave. Is your natural hair the same texture? A deep wave texture will not be the same as far as managability goes, just ask anyone who has a lot of naturally curly hair! The hair can be very difficult to blow dry and is usually left to dry naturally or with a diffuser - using a moisturizing curling cream can help the frizzies. If you need to blow dry your hair everyday a looser wave texture may work better.

Hi!! And welcome! I'm sorry you are having trouble with your hair! There is a definate learning curve with hair extensions. When selecting hair you do want 'Remy' also spelled 'Remi'. Hair is sorta scaly if you could see it magnified, so if you have 1 strand with scales(cuticle) facing down and 1 strand facing up they are going to catch on each other and those around them causing tangling. Remy hair will have be cuticle intact(ie not processed to within an inch of it's life) and aligned(all facing the same direction). You look like a color #4 or #6, it's hard to tell because computer screens can make colors look different. Most vendors will post a color key to help you decide which looks closetest to yours. Ofcourse, you could always color it yourself like some of us have to do. The majority of hair vendors also offer hair in 18" and 22", even longer sometimes. The wave depends on how long your hair is and what type of wave pattern your natural hair has. Keep in mind that most brands will drop some of the wave once washed. If you aren;'t sure, post a question, chances are someone will be able to help you.
There are some wonderful hair websites with great customer service; if you send them a bit of your own hair they can make a perfect color match for you!
You can find decent priced hair...I got mine from remyhairtoday.com but look around...almost all websites put their prices up for you to see.

Yea it was premium something like that. Now if i order online how do i know it will match my hair???
What do you think a fair or decent price for human hair (the good stuff) should be? How many packs would i need because i only used like 1 1/2 with this weave....how much to have it taken out and new put in????
im not sure if you are determined to find hair in a store near you or if you are willing to buy online...around me there is only a couple of beauty supply stores that carry Bohyme, and even then the colors are very very limited....sherrie's site hairextensions101.com would be a good place to start because you can mix colors in a pack of Bohyme 18"
the last time i had Xtreme tangles, i brushed the tangles out, did a light shamoo with a clarifying shampoo (dont scrub when you shampoo either, just kinda scrunch the suds into the length), let Nexxus emergencee sit for about 3 minutes, rinse and then a super moisturizing conditioner for as long as you can leave it....that helped me get through a bit better

I know the brand you mentioned, Premium plus or something. It's the first hair I have ever worn and it is non cuticle, very nice looking out of the package but absolutely ugly, tangling and dull after a few washes.
It's not your fault, it's the hair.
I would personally take the hair out and try a better quality of hair when you can afford it...
When I look at the picture I find your hair so pretty though...
If you wish to keep this hair on a little longer, I recommend some silicon styling products, like john frieda serum.
Ok I wrote those down....i will see if they carry them at the store i went to. How much do they run a pack??? And what lengths do they come in? i really wanted 18inch but the store i went to had NONE in body wave longer than 14 inch

Yeah it sounds like you probably got a non remy low quality hair. Hopefully you will be able to find products that will help you to at least keep it under control and tolerable for the next few weeks or until your next install. But honestly, once you start having problems it usually goes downhill pretty quickly.
Take a look around the forum and see what brands others are using. The best options for hair is REMY hair. The cuticles are all aligned in the same direction to minimize tangling and overall is processed/ handled much differently than cheap or low qulaity hair or BSS hair.
The higher quality brands of hair that alot of people are using are Bohyme, Wagman Primus, Extensions Plus, to name a few.
OK ladies...you are so wonderful....i think i am going to lay off the blow drying, today I carefully used a good non alcohol leave in conditioner, combed out all the tangles (ALOT OF THEM) gently from bottom up...and letting my hair dry naturally (which i don't always have the luxury of doing due to schedule) but my hair at least so far feels much softer today but until it completly dries i won't know
I will go look for some vitamin E this afternoon.
Let me know anything else you can think of.
I had ALOT ALOT ALOT of shedding today. That i didn't like at all but I just don't know why.........
I can't afford yet to go buy different hair and have them take off and put on new...I just spent almost $300 on what I have-UGH........broke my bank so i have to spend the next 6 weeks (which is how long it is suppose to last) and save my money again.........

I think it looks great, curly hair is so difficult. It might be a bad quality, which you might just be best off having it removed and buying something that's a higher quality.
It sounds like you have sew-ins, so then you would probably do some oil treatment before you have them taken out. I have 2 favorites for that, is either coconut oil or if you have a Trader Joe's near you, they sell this Vitamin E oil in a bottle which is just amazing. Just heat it up a little to make it warm, and put it in, then wrap it up for as long as you can, and just wash out.
The shedding it's hard to do something about at this point, and the itching seems to be about par for most sew-ins, from what I hear.

the proteins in mayo are to big to penetrate the hair shaft, plus you don't need protein. use olive oil or some kind of oil treatment. also, frizz ease or some kind of silicone based leave in product will help with frizziness.

but are you having a lot of tangling? Did you supply the hair or did
the salon supply it for you? Do you know what kind of hair it is? I
know you said human hair but there's a huge range of quality.
If it's poor quality hair then it can tangle up and look frizzy. If
it's frizzy but not tangling then that's the texture of the hair. Does
that make sense?
Is it shedding a lot? If they supplied the hair and you're getting a
lot of shedding then I would go back. It shouldn't shed a lot. Maybe a
few hairs here and there. There's something called weft sealer to
prevent shedding. It's applied to the top of the weft where the thread
is. You can ask them about that if you talk to them.
The itchyness is normal. A lot of people use seabreeze to help with it. That should subside.

Ok I had two days ago extensions put in. I'm not familiar with alot of the terminology you all know yet but basically I had 14inch body wave human hair put in. Cornwrap, then sewed in extensions.
I LOVE MY hair for sure but it is shedding, my scalp itches like crazy, my hair looks like it is going into a FRIZ ball.
HOW I TAKE CARE OF MY NEW HAIR:
If i comb it I use a wide comb, start from bottom up, I bought moisturizer (non alcohol) and put it in at night, wrap in silk scarf,
I am getting so frustrated and scared......i don't want this frizzy look, bunching look, etc....i don't want to look like a poodle. So far it's not that extreme but i see it's getting there quickly.
Please help.....what else can I do?????? I wanna cry.......there must be something I don't know. WHAT????
