Thank you ThAbAdDeStBaBy & blackhoney112 for your suggestions and tips. I am not going to do the Fusion technique now that I know that it will only add to my fustrations! I guess I thought that weaving technique would be best because every other technique seemed like it would be heavy on my hair and cause more breakage.I will be in a wedding in a couple of months and the bride wants us all to wear pin-ups. Since I knew I didn't have enough of my own hair to pull off the style and didn't want to do the weave by bond(glue) technique, I thought something like Fusion would be good for my hair. Wish she would be a little more flexible with the hair style because I could have braids in a pin-up but she doesn't want any braids so I have to respect her wishes! Again thanks for the hairvice!

Sorry that happened to you maybe they didn't wait long enough after the relaxer to do the color? I agree with thabaddestbaby, strand fusion may be more damaging. The way to prevent matting when shampooing/conditioning is by doing the C&G method http://www.growafrohairlong.com, divide the hair into 4 or more braided section and wash and condition each section. Maybe you should get a trim, do a heavy protein treatmen (aphogee for damaged hair), and do deep conditioning treatments for a month to get the hair back into shape. Then take a break with braids. I'm soooo sorry this happened to you. See the thing with relaxing and coloring is that you really have to take care of your hair afterwards. Such as moisturize constantly. You can relax and color but it can do a toll if not taking care of or done properly. Now if your hair is damage IMO I would not go with a style that can cause more stress such as strand by strand/fusions/microlinks/etc unfortuantley. I would try protective styles until your hair gets back healthy and then you can go with the strand by strand, fusions, or any other simular style. HTH

came out this past July. To make  a long story short, I got a color done late May. My hair was relaxed and I was told that I had to wait at least a month before I can relax my hair again. I finally got my hair relaxed, as my birthday celebration was close, as my hair is being shampooed, my hair was coming out in wads. After everything was said and done, my hair was thinner and shorter! Later I was told by various stylist that I could not have both. In other words, since I got the color, I basically had to wait until my color grew out in order to start getting the relaxers again(don't know how true it is but that is what I was told). I have not had a relaxer since and my hair is now kinky curly and just by looking at my hair, you can tell its damaged. Even though I wash my hair twice a week(I have a very dry scalp), my hair gets matted & tangled(even with a deep conditioning). I am embarrassed to go to a salon for fear of what they may have to do. I have a very round face & I don't look right with a short do so I was thinking of getting the strand by strand extensions done but my dilemma is: Do I have to get a relaxer again in order for these type of extensions to take or can I maintain them with my natural hair? If someone that reads this lives in the Chicagoland area, please give me some salons that does this technique so I can compare prices because everyone knows that Fusion is/can be very expensive & if I'm gonna be paying top dollar,I want someone that has a good rep & knows what there doing.
Until we meet again......
