I have been watching your threads valentine.I think its cool what your trying to do.I'm really rooting for you.I hope this stuff works out.I'd definitely try it myself if I knew others had success.

Still experimenting with silicone but think I will need to fold it over to ensure it doesn't shed.

Hmm, not sure if that is a problem for me.  I want to use these to make clip-ins so I wouldn't be using remover at all (or possibly in the future for protac but seriously I would probably just buy wefts for that).  How did you get the loose hair to lay out in a straight and mostly even line?  I see that as the major thing to get past....
 
Hope you update soon.  Seems like a lot of people are interested!

A wee bit of a delay.  the acrylic caulk did not pass the acetone & goo gone test to ensure it won't disolve.  It did, so I look for a new caulk tomorrow and I should have all technical difficulties finished within the next week.  the technique is right just the adhering product.  Almost there.

An update: 
 
I'm perfecting the loose, non fold over technique, need more caulk.  Fold over technique is a go (for example plastikhaar).  I just looked at the "I can't believe it's not a skin weft", OMG it looks great.  I  plan to have demos this weekend & I'm going to try soaking them in acetone to see if they degrade.  Plus goo gone.  & also install a piece & pull on it.  I did install the silicone only one, oh yeah hair is sealed sealed so much that puppy falls right out of your hair LOL.  But this one...this is a go!  Just so everyone knows they are so invisible & so so so thin!!!  Quality testing & demos this weekend . 
 
This is more fun than the bar I made 2 weeks ago.  I will post brands & online company that sells it if you are overseas.    Now just so you know the tools being used.  For plastikhaar, string or fishing line, caulk, painters tape, caulk gun, organza ribbon.  Loose (nonfold over), painters tape or masking, caulk & gun, organza ribbon & a glass or marble areaalong with a razor blade.   Plus scissors.  I still believe in ease & being reasonable.

I was laughing too hearing about Home Depot LOL  Can you imagine the guys face if a bunch of girls with extensions start coming in asking for caulk LOL he'll think he hit the jackpot or something LOL
 
Can't wait to hear the exact instructions!  I have my bulk hair standing by.

im excited for you too!!! i love your lie to the home depot guy, i remember when i first went to the fabric dept in wal mart looking for fray block the lady asked me what i was going to be sewing and i said 'a quilt' then she asked all these details !! (i totally DONT sew!) cant wait to see if it worked :)

OMG I think I have done it. Tongue  Someone please slap me, I won't know until tomorrow when they've completely dried but I feel like a little kid.  I really think I've done it! Once I've confirmed I will post step by step demos.  I've made 3 different types.  Type one, synthetic fold over weft (plastikhaar 48 inches fold over for 24 inch weft), type 2 loose hair (not enough to fold over, seems just a sturdy, loose a wee bit of hair), type 3 to resemble skin weft(same as above lose a wee bit of hair).   Loosing  the hair is only while making them.  I have to have really professionally looking clean wefts.  OK I admit it I'm a bit of a perfectionist. 
 
As for questions, the caulk I'm using is completely safe, did you know that the majority of caulk releases toxins even after cured...sorry got lost for a secondwith details.  So only completely nontoxic, I used one from home depot but there is an internet one once confirmed I will share all sources(think the internet one is latex if you're allergic to acrylic).  The only people unable to use the home depot one would be anyone allergic to acrylic.  I can't wait to find out that they are a go.  Honestly, at 5 hours later they seem strong & done but I don't want them to permanently fuse to my head LOL.  Ok, I seriously need some therapy due to the fact I'm so excited by making no sew easy to make thin wefts.  LOL  This is the same excitement as disneyland!!!  They are so easy!!!  Who knew that going to home depot & pouting at a guy while having hair extensions...OK I lied, I told the guy my friend was pregnant and needed completely safe caulk..ok it worked.  Thank god for extensions, I whined saying my friend won't let me help her.   I can't have her hurting the baby.  But it's not just caulk it's caulk adhesive(stronger)/ I originally used 100% silicone before but called GE it's got all kinds of toxic crap. I called this company too..they also make green construction material FYI.  This is basically green too.
 
I know I'm rambling but all those years of getting irritated and doing home repairs myself are paying off.  Once confirmed I will post complete directions for everyone.  You guys have done so much for everyone!  It's the least I can do!  I lost a lot of hair during a disease and you guys have been a lifesaver.  McGiver Valentine creates no sew wefts.  Who knew the annoyance of my ex never finishing anything correct would cause me to make the perfect, flat wefts for loose hair!!
