Hello everyone.
I am totally new here, but I have been reading you ladies for the past 3 months or more getting tips and help with do's and dont's and the best and worst of extensions and I finally decided to do a microlink install on myself. Wish me luck ladies because Ive never done anything myself other than clip in or instant weave.
With that said..my comment to dramaqueenbecca..these ladies couldn't be more right. Everyone and their mommas are wearing extensions and you shouldn't change your hair because someone else doesn't like it. Its your hair and they didnt pay for it, so you do with it what you dam well please. Further more, if they dont like it, that's their problem NOT yours. Just my take on it. ; )

Well in your pictures your install looks great......but the best way to see your color is to go outside in good light and look in a mirror....try taking some picture also....then you can see what your hair looks like in natural light......I know when I first starting doing them myself it took some time to get my colors right....now I have extra hair, so I usually can mix and match and get the exact color I want.....
The more I do them the better at it I get......wear your hair up or half up while you are in the process of getting your color right ....usually if it's in an up-do no one can tell how long or the exact color difference. It takes times and do's and dont's to learn to blend and get away with extesions when your a DIY.....but hang in there....I think you did a good job...... just add some lighter blonde to get the length to blend with your hair.
Don't give up yet......
Thanks,
JeepGirl
Current install-Bohyme Bodywave #30 and #14 in the straight hair/ they didn't have the #14 in bodywave, so I mixed them...works great!

the first couple of installs i had people comented a lot. (tbh probably becuase they werent all that good) but then grew my own hair and only had a couple of extensions in for hilights. STILL people commented.
would agree with the others its probably jealousy and a bit of fear.
if you like them f*k the rest of them.
extensions are about having fun & expermenting with your hair.
personally from what i can see your extensions lookl really natural
Be yourself, no matter what anyone says...you're super cute without the extensions, but you looked equally beautiful with!
Some people just always want to comment on things we do.
Can't please everyone, so just please yourself!
Amen.
I learn to love and try to understand everyone I meet. I see the rainbow hiding in their eyes.

I have to agree with Nicey! These reactions were probably 75% jaleousy, 25%not used to hair extensions!
I hate that when people criticize you because suddenly you're a little different, and especially a little different from them! I have experienced that so many times in France.
Sometimes you have to impose what you like to others. In 20 years, everybody in your town will be wearing extensions, we are just ahead of time!
thank you :) well im from grimsby but im living at newport in south wales coz im at uni, so not many people i see have extensions coz they are all grungey students x

thank you for all your comments girlies i really appriciate it. I took them out before i posted this up, i only had them in for a week beacuse un-like you girls, people were i live just made me feel really bad about the way they looked. My house mate told me they didnt match my hair colour and that u could see short bits of my hair so they didnt look real and just constantly picking at them. Some one else told me it made me fake so in the end i just took them out. Shame i didnt post this up first, might have made me change my mind about taking them out. Ah well thanx again girs xxxxxxxx
