Cleaner LG Installs

First when I try gluing both sides with LG, I get glue everywhere, the shishkabob sticks make the wefts sit up so I can use a syringe to put glue on both sides.
 
The flexible plastic cutting boards, they have a slight texture on one side, I hot glue cut pieces on each side of the white hair clips I bought at Sally's.  So when I put the LG weft to my head I pull the layer of hair on top and bottom of the LG weft into the clip. 

It keeps it from sticking to my head & smashes the LG into the hair but leaves a clean line of sandwiched hair. 

I don't know what I'm looking at here.
