i have a chamomile shampoo bar from Lush (www.lush.com) and it does work to brighten blonde hair in my experience. its not like getting highlights tho

The results you will get will be very slight - do not think it will give you great highlights. You might want to try marigold (I heard it does a little better than chamomile). Also add vodka to your mixture - something with making the hair more accepting? Go for it - the change will be slight and it won`t harm your hair.

What does chamomile do for blonde hair? I`ve heard that if you use this recipe below, it works for enhancing blonde hair. Has anyone experimented with natural "dyes" like this?
Blonde: Steep six bags of chamomile in 2 cups hot water. Add one teaspoon honey. Pour onto hair after shampooing and conditioning, leave on for ten to fifteen minutes. Rinse lightly. Will add blonde highlights in all hair, and brighten blonde tones.
I`m hesitant but really want to brighten up my hair temporarily for a special event.
