I bought a new coat earlier this winter, a shearling, and it gives me crazy static whenever I wear it (I can even see the sparks when I get out of my car in the dark at night!). Could it be something like that? I've taken to carrying a fabric softener sheet when I wear the coat.

Thank goodness warmer weather is returning (at least in my part of the world). Now all I'll have to worry about re: hair will be the frizzies, chlorine and the sun! Ha!

Thank you both for your replies.

The weather has been quite damp and windy for the last few weeks, now it's turning springlike....at last!

I'll give those hair drops a try.

Hi,

Low humidity is a large factor, but since we cannot control that, we can control how our hair replies to it. Try a product like Redken Glass, PM gloss drops, after you dry your hair. Make sure you use just a little, other wise it will look greasy. Use it just on the ends.

Good Luck

It could be the weather or the amount of static electricity in the air where you live, if in fact you are not doing anything different with your hair.

Has the weather been different in your part of Britian the past month or so? Has it been drier than usual as an example?

Can anyone here please help me?

I have hair down to my bum, and for the last couple of months it's been full of static.

I've tried extra conditioning and no blowdrying but it's still not sleek like it used to be.

What am I doing wrong? My hair products are the ones I've always used, no changes to anything I buy for, or do to, my hair.

I'm at my wits end!
