Jheri Redding colorfix WORKS! It is by far the best unwanted haircolor remover I have ever tried! In the past I have used drug store hair color removers, and rusk elimin8. Colorfix is the ONLY one that does NOT damage the hair. It actually leaves your hair very very soft and shiny and in some cases, the actual color it leaves your hair is nice! I have used this product four times in my life and two of the times, it left my hair a really nice golden blonde, another time a nice neutral brown. I didnt even have top redye my hair because the color was actually nice! You do have to follow the directions EXACTLY and sometimes when you apply the last step (conditioning catalyst) your hair might redarken. If that happens just use the kit again (it tells you all this in the instructions). Depending on how much you dye your hair, how many visible roots you have, etc the end result will vary. Some people say the colorfix leaves their roots one color and the ends a darker color. This makes logical sense because the ends of your hair have been dyed several times and your roots are virgin hair. The colorfix WILL remove most-ALL of your unwanted haircolor and will be ready to recolor. The ONLY negative thing I can say about this product is the smell. It smells like rotten eggs but in my opinion it's worth it if you can remove ugly haircolor from your head. I recommend waiting a few days before redying your hair just to give it a break. Please note that any chemical process done to your hair (especially hair coloring) leaves it very porous. So when redying your hair after using the colorfix always go a few shades LIGHTER than what you are aiming for. Porous hair grabs hair much darker than virgin hair. Good luck! I hope this is helpful to you! :)

Hi Lisa, The girl told me it depends on the individuals hair as far as having to or not having to re-color your hair. She told me that I may or maynot have to re-color my hair, that it has been very successful in taking you back to your natural hair color. It just depends I guess. I may do a test strand today and see what it does.
Hi There, Has anyone out there tried Jheri Redding Color Fix to remove permanent haircolor? The girl at the beauty supply swears by it and sells it like crazy. She told me it gently removes permanent hair color and will take you to your natural color without any damage to your hair. If anyone has tried it, I would very much like to get your feedback on the product. I did purchase it, but a little scared to actually use it. Thank you!
