It looks like twists with knot twists in the back and a ponytail up top.  But here is something you should know, most high technique styles like that do not have names, you just show the stylist the picture and they try to duplicate it to the best of their abilities.  I would just take the photo in.

What type of tracks are the best? I know I will need extra hair to pull off a style like that. A friend of mine told me to try yacky or something, but I rather listen to other people's opinion first.

I really don't know what the style is called but the best thing for you to do is take this photos to some one who knows about hair and ask them.  Sorry I could not help u find out what it is called.

Your best bet would probably be to print those pics and take them to a good salon and ask them if they can do that to your hair.  Very lovely style, by the way!

Hi,
 
I'm new here and I am in need of some major help. I will be going to the prom (as a guest) with my friends in May. Around October I had gotten some micro braids. I took it out in Jan. and now my hair looks like this:
 
I wanted to get my hair done like this for prom and I was wondering what this style is called:
 
I was wondering if it was possible for me  to get this style and how it is done.
