Redken heat glide works great! is HG for me. You must also do a protein treatment once a month and deep condition at least once a week. Get a trim every eight weeks and you will be in good shape.
I recently started to use Amla oil. I have to say it works really good. I can't stand the smell though (smells like ca piss! LOL) but I use it overnight and wash it out the next morning.
Good luck and great hair!!

I just started using Simply Stylin' Silk as a heat protectant, and it works wonders! Not only does it stop the burning, but my hair comes out straighter and shinier. A friend of mine who is a hair stylist down in Dallas recommended it. I can't find it in Chicago, but you can ask for free samples online at simplystylinhair.com.

I would say that if you want to straighten your hair, go right ahead as often as you like. Of course hair drying will "damage" your hair. So will going outside, pollution, rain, swimming, diet, stress, and so on. There is nothing you can do about that except:
If you get your hair cut every 4 - 6 weeks you will eliminate the split ends. If you clarify and condition your hair with a good conditioner every 2 weeks (once per week for conditioner?) and use a good gel / mousse / styling product while styling your hair with a hair dryer, your hair can look great. If it needs a little shine, there are spray shines you can use. Believe it or not, using a hair dryer (in the direction of hair growth) with a good round brush or vented brush can actually flatten the cuticles and give your hair a healthy shine.

do you kno any good heat protectant?? or good conditioner? im using ojons...they sell it at ulta. is supose to be good but i dont think ive seen a differents. so like do you kno of any good ones?
You can not make split ends better, only cutt them off. Get them trimmed. As for preventing them make sure to use LOTS of Conditioner on your ends and use a very good heat protectant. There are creams and sprays that work good.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to "fix" them... the best thing is to just cut off all the damage so that your hair will grow healthier. If you don't cut it off it will just keep getting worse.
Straightening is a really bad idea. I suggest you try different styles and straighten it only when you really feel that you must - like for special occasions or something.
They have a lot of different heat protectant sprays and serums out there that you can try. I've tried a few, and honestly even though they do work a bit, they're definitely not miracle products. You hair will still eventually dry out and split.
Try to take better care of it so you don't have to eventually end up cutting off a significant amount due to damage.
