good info fam. i always wondered myself bout this and never used a softie cuz i didnt believe it worked, but now i do... cuz i was wolfin for a good month 1/2 and my waves in the front came in crooked, but i caught them comin in crooked about 3 weeks into the wolfin, so i was brushin inna slightly diff direction to try and straighten em for them last 3 weeks- didnt work. i jus got a fresh cut Sunday, and im usin a softie for the first ever, and already not even a full week later, im already seein my waves straightenin out. so as far as im concerned, theres my proof

yup the soft bristile is easier on the hair.. so it doesnt pick at it... but smooths it out.. which makes a staighter curl.. thus havin straighter connected waves

This is for everyone who want to know the purpose of the softie. A lot of times many people use medium or hard brushes to get the pattern down and therefore their waves come in crooked. Therefore the softie was necessary to connect them waves. However once you have established a foundation and wave pattern, the softie becomes somewhat obsolite...unless you have lowcuts.
I still use the softie because it works wonders on my hair, but to each his own on that one. If that's not proof right there I don't know what is.
now dats a real ass vet my n**** supa

supa just told u why cause the bristles are more soft on ya hair ......so that the waves come in more striaghter.......but with the med or hard it pullin ur hair so much that it could perusade ur waves to form in a crooked pattern

true story.... i used a hard one to create my pattern and it was mad crooked.... i copped a softy and used it for about a month 1/2 and it straigtened em right up... i dun use a softy anymore i be on that diane 8118 but trust if you got crooked waves... the softy will mos def connect em i have no idea how it just does
I can see it makes a difference...I usually keep one with me especially if Im goin to work..right before I go in I just hit it with the softy couple times...It lays it down some so Im good..
...i'm back like i left my keys..
