Sorry to hear about your daughter`s problem growing her hair. The hair vitamins I am familiar with (like Hair Formula 37 sold on this site) specifially note they are NOT for children. Perhaps your pediatrician or a dermatologist knows of some that would be appropriate for her age. I do have some general tips that have worked well in the past for growing hair: 1. Eliminate or cut back on caffeine and carbonated sodas. 2. Eat a healthy diet. Avoid foods that are high in sugar or fat. 3. Treat her hair like a piece of fine old lace. Handle it carefully avoiding any unnecessary brushing or combing (especially when wet). 4. Avoid use of hot water, hot blow dryers or other hair care tools that may stress the hair. 5. A weekly scalp massage will provide stimulation to the hair follicles. 6. A series of deep conditioning treatments will protect the hair`s shaft. 7. Have regular trims to eliminate split ends and allow the hair to look and feel healthier. Good luck and I hope things improve for your daughter.

My 6 y/o daughter has very fine thin strawberry blonde hair that has only grown approx 4" since birth. No matter what I do, I do not seem able to get it to grow. She is forever asking me "Mom when will my hair grow long and pretty like so and so?" Can any professional out there help me to know if there are any vitamins she may be lacking, or any product (safe for children) that I can use . Your help would be appreciated.
