Check websites in your area and make your prices competitive maybe a wee bit lower to draw more customers but enough to still be profitable. My stylist did sewn in tracks for $100 not including the hair when others were charging $250 up. She could do a full weave in about 1/2 hr. to 45 minutes. She was much cheaper but her salon was always packed. My fusionist charges $400 to do a full head not including hair (again much, much cheaper) while others were charging $800 up. She could do a whole head in about 1 1/2 to 2 hours others were taking about 4 to 5 hours.
They charged less but more than made up for it with speed and technique. In the end they make more than the higher priced stylist.
The pricing strategy is really a matter of how you want to market and position yourself. You should check around your area to see what others are charging, then you can decide where you want to price your services. In the hair extension classes that I've attended, it was suggested that the service is priced at $75-200 per hour. I don't charge by the hour, but if I did, it would roughly come out to about $80 per hour.
I have started doing extensions again after many years of not doing them. I am at a loss of what to charge. Does any one have the going rates for the services below? Tape in extensions like ultratress are the ones I use.
Installation price without cost of hair. Just labor.
Removal and re installation

I also have a client who wants me to do her clip in extensions. What do I charge to put n these type of easy extensions? thanks for any suggestions
