QuoteReplyTopic: Posh Spice's Short Hair Posted: May 23 2007 at 3:44pm
I'm growing out a pixie cut, and just got my hair trimmed in a style similar to Posh Spice's new bob. My cut is shorter in the front, but I've been flat-ironing the front layers to get them super-straight (I have wavy-ish cowlicks at either temple) like hers. So, I can say from experience, if she's flat-ironing her hair, it won't "blow around when she gets outside"...unless there's a wind-machine where she's going! Several of the photos I've seen of her on www.popsugar.com look as though she flat-irons her hair to get it really smooth and shiny. Check out http://teamsugar.com/celebrity/Victoria_Beckham
Once you flat-iron, your hair pretty much stays straight & flat, and in place, despite still looking and feeling soft. It's pretty amazing, actually, if I flat-iron my hair, even though its short and I'm prone to bedhead, the style stays through the next day.
Hope

I think this is one of her best looks ever. Much, much better than those horrible extensions she used to wear. It may "fall apart" in the wind but I am sure she has a glam squad at her beck and call to fix it. I hope she keeps this look for awhile.

That would be great, I posted a thread in the Short Hair forum called "short hair and wanting to go shorter, but scared" for my wife. They gave some great ideas and some great picks. VB was one of the styles my wife liked, the style right before she went really shorter... and thus the thread.
I think that if she sees the cut on a real person, she will feel more comfortable with it. That has always been her experience.
Thanks!

He is a good soccer player though (though not the best player like some
people seem to believe about him). But he wouldn't be so famous if he
hadn't married a former Spice Girl like her.
Well they are both into the world of fashion.
Especially her. He was just a soccer player until he met her, now they both are supposedly fashion "role models".

I dont think its scarry in a bad sense. I think that she looks great with her shorter hair. I just find it interesting that they both have the same style, shorter in the back and "wind blown" forward.
The more I see her in that short 'do, the better she looks in it. I
believe it was a good choice for her to go short with her hair. She is
feminine and pretty and looks good in a short hairstyle, like many
feminine pretty women do.
Why is it scary that they have somewhat similar hairstyles?
He is masculine and looks that way with his hairstyle. She is feminine
and looks that way with her hairstyle. Obviously. The hair style or
hair length doesn't necessarily determine masculinity or femininity.

This to me is a classic example of an "edgy" cut that the stylist really wanted to try on her (or at least someone) and looks good and edgy for about 2 days before she goes outside in the wind and it blows all out of style and everyone agrees it was a mistake and she starts growing it out.
Course, that's just hypothetical....

I think Lemonlime would definately stand out on her Spring Break trip if she got this cut. If she didn't have a significant other before the trip, she would have one when she got back!
I have said it before, i think that short haircuts on women just ooooze confidence. It is very sexy! (the confidence and the look)
