Please, cutting should not be an option to fixing bad plumbing! Try a drain trap. You see them at the grocery stores, they fit over your drain, it is made of plastic with small holes in it. It lets the water in, but stops anything bigger than sand. the hair will be caught on the trap, which needs to be cleaned after each wash!
Cut it! I`ve had waist length hair for as long as I can remember. I just got it cut last week, and I LOVE it!! I would never go really short. Now my hair is just above my bra strap w/ lots of fun layers. It is low maintenance, MUCH cooler, and my hubby says it`s much sexier than the long one length style I`ve kept for years. (Even though he loved my long hair and was skeptical about me getting it cut, he is more than happy w/ the results!)
We`re actually going vacuum cleaner shopping this weekend. My long hair ruined ours, also. I`ll post a pic of my new hairstyle on my website sometime this week. I`m trying to grow my bangs out longer, too.

First the vacumn problem which has settled for a while ( good SEar`s vacumns) but now the bathtub. AFter spending over $200.00 on a plumbing bill I learned that I was the problem. The plumbing suggested that I cut a piece of aluminum screen and place over the drain. He looked at me and said" it`s your long hair". Between me and my long hair dogs we have to find a solution to this shower business.
